It was a real Autumn morning with the rain and wind, so thank you to all the parents who braved the weather, Margaret Williams found her umbrella useful when a ball came flying across the touchline.

Under 10 Black

Venue: Moorland Park

Another lovely sunny Autumn Saturday which resulted in coach Steve O'Hanlon baring his milky white legs, we had to keep reminding him not to stand near the goal posts as he was confusing the players.

Thornhill Red: 0 - Lisvane: 1 (Goal scored by Charlie Williams)

The team played well with Kurtis Wara having a shot on goal along with another shot from Charlie which was blocked by a header. Zac Martin also played well in defence.

Marlborough Sports Red 0 - Lisvane 0

This was a hard fought game with the boys giving all they had to keep the game at 0 - 0.

In the first half Alex Grieve kept the ball off the line, along with Thomas Evans and new boy Joseph Green strong in defence.

The pace continued in the second half with 6 amazing saves from out goalie Shane Leach.

St.Albans Yellow: 3 - Lisvane: 0

Even though we lost the last game the boys never gave up, Joshua Husband played really well but unfortunately took a hard tackle and had to be replaced by Kojo A-Mensah who continued with good attacking.

Kurtis Wara also bravely carried on after major collision but unfortunately this time we could not manage to get the ball in the net, but well done to all the boys for their determination, the rest of the team for today were: Sean O'Hanlon, Tobias Bathelmes, Matthew Congdon, Ted Plaut, Thomas Mitchell who also gave a 100%.

We would also like to welcome Joseph Green who joined our team this week.

Man of the match - Thomas Evans

Venue: Whitchurch Hospital

Rhiwbina Tigers: 1 - Lisvane: 0

The game started well with Shane Leach having a shot on goal, the pace continued with Joshua Husband strong in defence, and the score was level at 0 - 0 at the end of the first half.

The second half started off well with good attacking from Charlie Williams who had a shot on goal blocked by Rhiwbina, Kojo A-Mensah and new boy Ben Saunders also strong in midfield along with Tobias Bethelmes trying hard in defence.

Unfortunately Rhiwbina scored in the last few minutes of the game.

Rhiwbina Lions: 3 - Lisvane: 1

The boys again started off well with Conor Keegan keeping the ball from hitting the back of the net with a good header.

Kurtis Wara also kept the ball from going over the line 3 times and then Sean O'Hanlon making a really good save, along with Thomas Evan giving a good performance in defence.

Kurtis then tackled Rhiwbina and took the ball from past the 50 yard line dribbling with skill and finished off putting the ball in the net over the top of the goalies head to put us 1 goal up at half time.

However, Rhiwbina came back in the second half, Matthew Congdon our goalie for the half making a good save, but unfortunately Rhiwbina went on to score 3 goalies, but Shane Leach and Joseph Green never gave up in defence.

Heath Park Rangers: 4 - Lisvane: 0

Again started off strong with a good save from our goalie Joshua Husband also Kojo A-Mensah and Ben Saunders again strong in defence, Zac Martin also had a good game in the first half.

In the second half Shane Leach was in goal and had 4 really good saves, along with Ben Saunders and Joseph Green giving a good contribution to the team and even though the score does not reflect how hard the boys played as always the parents, spectators and coaches would like to thank the boys for their continued efforts in all areas of the game well done boys we are proud of you.

The rest of our team today were: Prakrid Prasad, Ted Plaut, Thomas Mitchell well done boys.

We would also like to welcome another new member to the team this week Ben Saunders.

Venue: Marl

Another Autumn morning, cold and breezy, but the rain held off for us, however some of us braved the weather such as coach Steve O'Hanlon had his lovely legs 11 on show again, now back to the football.

Thornhill Red: 2 - Lisvane: 0

The boys started off well in defence  and attack with Shane crossing in a shot to Alex who then had shot on goal only to be blocked, we continued to attack with Kurtis Wara having yet another shot on goal only to be blocked by good goalie.

The second half saw Ted in goals who made some great saves, along with good defending from Zak. Attacking continued to press on with a good pass from Matthew to Josh who had a shot on goal and minutes later had a second shot on goal from a cross from Charlie. So unfortunately the boys through all their efforts could not find the back of the net and Thornhill went on to win.

Maindy Red: 2 - Lisvane: 1

The game started off well with a lovely goal from Conor and the attacking continued with a good cross in from Charlie to Ted but he was unable to get a foot on it. Then Charlie in turn had a good shot on goal only to be blocked. The team battled on to half time with good play from Alex and Kojo.

During the second half there was good defending from new boy Ben near the goal post. There was a good attempt at goal from Matthew and our goalie for the half was Shane who made 3 amazing saves. It was a long and enthusiastic half from all the determined players and despite the 2 -1 defeat they played with pride.

Llanedeyrn Bulldogs: 2 - Lisvane: 0

The defense was strong for this half with good defending skills from Conor along with 2 great saves from our goalie Josh. Alex headed the ball away from goal preventing the opposition from scoring.

During the second half the boys continued their attack with a shot on goal from Kurtis  only to be blocked and good goal keeping from our goalie for this half Kojo who made 2 really good saves. Unfortunatley Llanedeyrn pushed forward and even though we were unable to get the ball in the net, yet again the players continued to battle on.

The team for this week was:
Joshua Husband, Kurtis Wara, Sean O'Hanlon, Zak Martin, Charlie Williams, Conor Keegan, Thomas Evans, Tobias Bathelmes, Matthew Congdon, Prakrid Prasad, Shane Leach, Ted Plaut, Alex Grieve, Kojo A-Mensah, Thomas Mitchell, Ryan Melhuish, Joseph Green and Ben Saunders.

The results this week do not reflect how hard the team played and showed determination in defending and attacking and yet again we would like to thank them for their continued hard work. WELL DONE BOYS!

Man of the Match for 1 November was Ben Saunders
Man of the Match for 8 November was Joshua Husband
